TUSCALOOSA – University of Alabama linebacker Jimmy Johns has been arrested and charged with several counts of selling cocaine, according to Tuscaloosa Police Department spokesman Capt. Greg Kosloff.

Johns was arrested by the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force this morning and was taken to Tuscaloosa County Jail, Kosloff said.

Asked for the specific charges, Kosloff said he believes the Brookhaven, Miss., native was arrested and charged with seven “drug-related” charges, including selling.

Police allege that cocaine and marijuana are involved, Kosloff said. When police searched his residence, they also found ecstacy, police said.
