Trotter will give up redshirt
AUBURN – Seven games have come and gone without true freshman Barrett Trotter taking the field, but that won’t stop the quarterback from Briarwood Christian from giving up his redshirt season if Auburn coaches think he can help the Tigers finish out the season. Trotter went from scout team quarterback to time with the big boys in passing drills Tuesday after he and his family said it was OK to give up his redshirt season if Auburn needed him.

Tommy Bowden has been relieved of his duties as Clemson’s head football coach and Tiger Assistant Head Coach and Wide Receivers Coach Dabo Swinney has been promoted as interim head coach. Bowden told assistant coaches moments ago in a staff meeting.
