The officer approached Powe and took his identification. On the way back to his patrol vehicle, a young black male, later identified as Enrique Davis, made a comment that the officer could not understand, the report said. The officer requested Davis hand over his identification, but Davis looked at the officer with a “shunning face,” according to the report. The report said the officer then requested Davis’ identification several more times and Davis started to walk towards the stairwell and gave the officer a “crazy face” when confronted about walking away. The officer grabbed Davis’ left elbow to stop him, but Davis pulled away from the officer, who then put him up against the stairwell and placed him in custody for disorderly conduct and failure to comply, the report said.
“a crazy face”…is that the same face tommy tubs and the auburn fan base made when he picked ole miss over AU?
Corso, Herbstreit, Fowler Out?
Dr. Lou Holtz is apparently exchanging his on-air advice segment for the middle seat on the Game Day bus. He would be replacing Corso as the aging voice of reason and the man who consistently chooses the losing team.As for Fowler’s replacement, it would be the ESPN Baseball Tonight and Sports Center anchor Karl Ravech. No word on why Fowler is out or what his next move is.Additionally, Kirk Herbstreit will be moving to prime time announcing with Brent Musburger for the night games. There will also be a new face joining the TV analyst crew for the day games. Word is former coach Tommy Tuberville is in talks to be the next Bob Davie as ousted coach turned commentator.

Auburn would have had to ditch one of its four non-conference opponents already on the schedule. The Tigers are slated to play Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Chattanooga and Clemson in 2010. Auburn hosts Clemson Sept. 18, 2010 in Week 3 and will travel to Clemson in 2011. The game against Arkansas State on Sept. 4, 2010 is the season opener.
Jacobs typically tries to schedule one upper-level BCS opponent each year. The next opening would be 2012.
“We were contacted to see if we had an opening on our 2010 schedule and we did not,” Jacobs said. “Our schedule had already been completed and contracts had been executed for the 2010 season, but we welcome the opportunity to talk about future schedules with UCLA and other BCS conference schools.”
Auburn vetoes game
Efforts to match UCLA in a nationally televised game against Auburn to open the 2010 season fell apart when Auburn officials decided against the matchup, which was to be played in the Georgia Dome.
ABC was attempting to broker a deal for the game, which would have replaced one against Kansas State on the Bruins’ schedule.
UCLA was offered a game against Georgia Tech instead but declined.
