Seastrunk Talks…

People want to say well, he’s 80 percent going to Auburn,” he said. “For all they know, I could be going to USC or LSU or Florida. I am going to go where I feel most comfortable.” This, even though he made public comments during Auburn’s Big Cat recruiting weekend directed at Alabama head coach Nick Saban to the tune of “Wait until we get here.” Could those comments have revealed more than he wished to reveal publicly? Or was he caught up in the moment? One reporter who covers recruiting in the state of Texas as close as anyone agreed that Auburn is the current leader, but cautioned that Seastrunk could end up anywhere. “He could end up at Baylor for all we know. He’s just that type of kid.” Seastrunk, who also told at least one reporter that he plans to visit Texas again unofficially, offers no hints at even when he may decide. “I’ve got a plan and all I can tell you is it’s super funny,” he said.

It was looking like Burns got out to a quick start then we had the A-day game. Caudle went 11 for 16 with no interceptions, 161 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Obviously a better showing than Burns’ 3 for 8, no interceptions, 48 yards, and no TD’s. As a fan, my heart is pulling for Kodi simply because of his athletic abillity and unique resourcefulness making plays on his feet. I think that he would be the most exciting QB to watch as long as his passing percentage goes up considerably. That said, my brain is telling me we should be pulling for Caudle. He was an Elite 11, 4-star QB out of high school, and it seems Malzhans offense needs a QB who can make quick, accurate throws along with the occasional bomb. As of right now before fall practice starts, it looks like Caudle is that guy. Auburntron will stand behind ANY QB the coaches decide on for the 2009 season! But for the record, you redshirt Rollison. Period. War Damn 2009!

Tuberville to star in The Blind Side

tommy.JPG

John Lee Hancock is making The Blind Side, Michael Lewis’ best-selling book about Michael Oher’s fascinating life and the evolution of the left tackle position in the NFL, into a movie. The Warner Bros./Alcon Entertainment production, scheduled for a November 20 release, recently wrapped 47 days of shooting in Atlanta. When the coaches weren’t filming their scenes, they hung out in a bullpen of sorts the crew created. In the close confines, Tuberville and Orgeron reminisced about their days as Miami assistant coaches from 1989-92. “We had a lot of down time, so we had a lot of time to sit around and talk,” Tuberville said. “It was a good homecoming. You don’t get to be around your fellow coaches in a relaxed atmosphere like that. It was a fun day.”

Lost Fans…

We all know that on ABC’s “Lost,” time is extremely relative.

So why not throw an extra hour into the mix?

The sixth and final season will run 18 hours, an hour longer than originally announced. This isn’t exactly earth-shattering news, granted, but for “Lost” fans heading into the final lap, every minute counts.

Though the reason for the extra time hasn’t been confirmed, one insider said that the producers felt they had some extra story to tell in the final season. “Lost” starts shooting later this summer.
