The good folks from West Virginia must have wondered what kind of crazy, fanatical, severe-weather-ignoring lunatics they have down on the plains. They found out. And soon enough, so will everyone else: The passion is back on the plains.

People want to say well, he’s 80 percent going to Auburn,” he said. “For all they know, I could be going to USC or LSU or Florida. I am going to go where I feel most comfortable.” This, even though he made public comments during Auburn’s Big Cat recruiting weekend directed at Alabama head coach Nick Saban to the tune of “Wait until we get here.” Could those comments have revealed more than he wished to reveal publicly? Or was he caught up in the moment? One reporter who covers recruiting in the state of Texas as close as anyone agreed that Auburn is the current leader, but cautioned that Seastrunk could end up anywhere. “He could end up at Baylor for all we know. He’s just that type of kid.” Seastrunk, who also told at least one reporter that he plans to visit Texas again unofficially, offers no hints at even when he may decide. “I’ve got a plan and all I can tell you is it’s super funny,” he said.

Word is he may be in Auburn this weekend….I guess we will have to wait and see.

TUSCALOOSA — The University of Alabama was notified by the NCAA this morning that a ruling on its violations of textbook distribution policy will be announced on Thursday, according to a source with knowledge of the issue.

This comes more than a year and a half after UA officials discovered improprieties in the way student-athletes received textbooks, and more than three months after the school made public the news that it had appeared before the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions because of its self-reported violations.

Alabama had been in its five-year probationary window when the violations occurred. That likely means stiffer penalties, though it’s not clear what they will be. A news conference is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Cheaters

Although NCAA rules (Bylaw 13.10.6) bar the introduction of visiting student-athletes during any function, videos of the event posted on two Web sites show the crowd cheering as the players are introduced by name, position and hometown. The man yelling the introductions does not appear on the videos, but assistant head coach Trooper Taylor is shown leading the crowd in cheers immediately after the introductions.

Introduction of student-athletes would be a secondary violation and would not affect the athletes’ eligibility.

NCAA Bylaw 13.10.5 prevents schools from publicizing an athlete’s visit or allowing the visitor to “participate in team activities that would make the public or media aware of the prospective student-athlete’s visit to the institution (e.g., running out of the tunnel with team, celebratory walks to or around the stadium/arena, on-field pregame celebrations).”

This can’t happen…Auburn can’t be allowed to do this…how many recruits were there? Well guess what, we did…and we’re about to own the state again come November. Spin your propaganda all you want bama media machine, your about to be SOL (Thanks Lache). Bottom line, everyone is talking about Auburn (again) for the second time in the offseason, get off our jock bama.  

Before we get to the pictures, I just want to add that yes my camera sucks and yes I’m not a fantastic photographer. Additionally it was dark obviously and taking pics of people constantly moving through a large crowd and toilet paper will test anyone’s abilities.
